The latest advances in technology has caused a rise in the number of paranormal images that have been captured, new research has revealed
Being in the house on your own can be scary enough but when you hear a door creak or feel that there is an unknown presence in the room, your mind questions whether ghosts actually exist.
Video and camera mobile phones mean that people are rarely without a way to record any spooky sightings and this has meant that many people are now able to prove what they have witnessed, instead of it just being word of mouth.
With Halloween, the traditional time for paranormal activity, fast approaching it is now easier than ever to catch any eerie moments.
The research, carried out by Tesco Telecoms, found that one in three people have recorded strange sightings.
The study also found that almost 60 per cent of those questioned had or knew someone who had witnessed paranormal activity.
Some of the incidents reported included object moving on their own and transparent figures floating across the room.
Lance Batchelor, chief executive officer of Tesco Telecoms, said, ‘Halloween is the perfect time of year to keep an eye out for the ghostly and ghoulish.’
The debate as to whether ghosts and poltergeists actually exist has been going on for decades, but now with the ability to actually capture findings, people are more open to the idea that these things may actually exist.
The study found that the top five most believed paranormals are:
1. Ghosts
2. Aliens
3. UFOs
4. Past lives
5. Out of body experiences
