A product designed to nourish and stop irritation for babies becomes number one skin care product at Waitrose
The secret to great skin may lie in the baby aisle of your local Waitrose supermarket. The chain announced today that sales of the £2.54 moisturising cream had overtaken every other skin cream, moisturiser and anti-aging lotion in the supermarket.
Gemma Wright, babycare buyer at Waitrose commented, ‘This butter for babies’ bottoms has become the top choice for mum’s who also love using it on their own faces. Its’ consistent popularity and affordable price tag have proved this product is no fad’.
The moisturiser had previously sold a 14-year supply in just 12 months and the news today is set to increase sales further.
The camomile-scented blend of gentle lavender and olive oil claims to be, ‘naturally pure for relaxed and pampered babies’. However, mum’s nationwide have discovered the nourishing properties of the cream for themselves and have kept the product in high demand.
The product was launched in 2005 following the supermarket’s decision to remove the parabens, petrochemicals and colours from its range of baby products.
