Bartercard grows in the UK as businesses cut costs
Business can trade goods on the Bartercard instead of spending money
Bartercard is growing in the UK as more businesses turn to trading to reduce spending.
The card works like a credit card, but instead of spending money, businesses can trade goods and services, via its unique “Trade Pound” currency. On joining Bartercard account holders receive a card and an interest-free line of credit, when goods are sold, member’s accounts are credited with trade pounds, and when purchases are made, trade pounds are deducted. More than 80% of Bartercard’s members are SME’s and the scheme aims to generate 10% in additional sales for each business.
Wayne Sharpe, founder of Bartercard says, ‘I have lived in the UK for over seven years now and I know and feel for the SME’s – they are the heart of this nation and we will help them beat the recession in any and every way we can’. Visit www.uk.bartercard.com for more details.
