Cardiff is found to be Britain’s most sociable city, with London lagging at number seven
While many people may believe that London is the hub of all social activity the study by CitySocialising found that people in the Welsh capital were the most sociable.
Looking at the social habits of 160,000 people in the UK, the study revealed that Cardiff socialites attended 28 per cent more events than the average. Leeds was also found to be a sociable area, falling just behind Cardiff.
Other sociable areas include Newcastle, Liverpool and Bristol.
Interestingly, Londoners ranked at a disappointing number seven on the social scale, while Glasgow fell even lower down the table at number 12.
Sanchita Saha, founder of CitySocialising, said, ‘Having an active social life is all about meeting new people trying new things and discovering new places and we’ve found the best place to do this is Cardiff.’
