Children who are not given a daily routine of set bedtimes and mealtimes lack at school, a study has suggested
The study, for the Prince’s Trust, looked at 16-25 year olds and found that more than a quarter did not have a set bedtime while they were growing up.
Researchers found that the young people with poorer grades were also more likely not to have set mealtimes.
Interestingly the study also found that those who felt that their childhood ‘lacked structure and direction’ were also found to be less content and confident than their friends.
Martina Milburn, the chief executive for the Prince’s Trust, said, ‘The absence of structure and routine in a young life can have a devastating impact.’
