Dogs make a great companion
|
A new study has found that 40 per cent of us find people who own a dog physically more attractive
Dogs are often used for their companionship but the survey, carried out by Petcompare.com, has found that your pet can actually help you to find love.
The researchers spoke to over 3,000 dog walkers and found that 15 per cent have met their partner while walking their dog and an incredible 11 per cent have then gone on to marry their dog walking companion.
It seems that celebrities are also finding love through their pets as, television presenter, Davina McCall and her husband, Matthew Robertson also met whilst dog walking.
Dogs are a great way to break the ice when you meet a new person and they are also a great conversation topic.
Lee Hodgson, director of Petcompare.com, said, ‘We are amazed to find how many relationships have been forged between dog walkers, some that have even ended in love!’
Petcompare.com have now created a social networking website, similar to Facebook, that gives pet owners the chance to meet other pet owners.
