Executive entertaining
Cowes Week is a major highlight on the British sailing calendar

Corporate hospitality is an important part of business, and one-on-one time with your client can help you seal a deal. Make sure you’ve got a table at our pick of this summer’s biggest events.

An English picnic
Entertain clients with a quintessentially English evening in a beautiful setting, with an open-air picnic concert at the 18th Century stately home, Kenwood House. Hospitality packages include everything you need to impress including premium deckchair seating, pre-drinks, champagne and nibbles in a private marquee enclosure with waiter service, interval drinks and VIP car parking. Relax in the grounds of Kenwood House as you’re entertained by top artists – acts for this summer include James Morrison, Gipsy Kings, Russell Watson, Simply Red and Jools Holland. If you want to complete the al fresco dining experience you can pre-order a sumptuous Carluccio’s picnic packed with delicious Italian treats and wine.

Riding the waves
Since 1826 Cowes Week has been a major highlight on the British sailing calendar, and is the largest sailing regatta in the world with up to 40 races every day and 8,500 competitors taking part, ranging from Olympic professionals to weekend sailors. For a fun day on the water, hire a yacht or motorboat and let your clients get as involved in the sailing as they want, as you sail around the Solent in the luxury vessels. If they want to learn to sail or are already keen sailors they can learn to tack and take the helm, or if they prefer just sit back, relax and watch the racing. The day’s corporate sailing package includes breakfast, a gourmet buffet lunch with wine, afternoon tea with fine teas and homemade cakes, a fully qualified professional crew, sailing instruction, safety equipment and a Cowes Week racing guide.
Cowes Week Sailing, 1–8 August, motorboat hire with 12 guests per boat £325pp, yacht hire with 10 guests per boat from £245pp, www.teamtactics.co.uk

Proms in the Park
With Katherine Jenkins, Gardar Thór Cortes, Barry Manilow and the BBC Concert Orchestra, this year’s BBC’s Proms in the Park set in Hyde Park is one of London’s biggest music events of the summer, and ensures your clients a wonderful evening of fine dining and entertainment. Radio 2 presenter Ken Bruce introduces the pre-show entertainment, with highlights from One Night of Queen with Gary Mullen and t
The Works as well as the Counterfeit Stones. The VIP hospitality package includes a cocktail and canapé reception, a three-course dinner with fine wines, an excellent position in the glass-fronted Proms in the Park restaurant and admission to the main concert arena.

Dancing queens
Treat clients to a refined evening of ballet at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. The Cavendish Group organise ballet hospitality packages, and will tailor a package for your needs. Premium seats and a private room with canapés, champagne and dinner would cost around £350pp, but this can be modified for your specific budget and requirements. There are a number of ballets on this summer, from Romeo and Juliet, one of the most cherished ballets and set to Prokofiev’s beautiful score, to the Mariinsky ballet’s mesmorising production of the classic Swan Lake set to Tcahikovsky’s magnificent music.

The beautiful game
The 2008–2009 Premier League lived up to its high expectations, with Manchester United being crowned champions for the third consecutive year. Next season is set to be an exciting one, with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City set to spend big, they could challenge Manchester United’s resolve, and you can never rule out Liverpool and Arsenal. The “best league in the world” is set to kick-off again in early August and with players being transferred, managers changing clubs, and clubs going up for sale, it’s sure to be another enthralling season.
With many new state-of-the-art stadiums being built with luxury executive boxes, football has become the perfect place to take clients and colleagues. The private executive areas cater for up to 12 people with external seating balconies, champagne on arrival, a four-course meal with wine and beer, plus half-time and full-time refreshments.
