Transform your bathroom with a fast fix
These Marks and Spencer's accesories will brighten up your bathroom

If you can’t face revamping your whole bathroom, take the easy way out and invest in some accessories and furniture for a new look

1.  One or two pieces of freestanding furniture can transform a bathroom – especially if your existing suite is in good condition but in need of storage pieces. The Sonoma range of oak furniture includes a ladder with three shelves and three rails (£199), a floor cabinet (£199) and a rattan laundry basket (£49.50). Marks and Spencer (0845 603 1603; http://www.marksandspencer.com)
2. Add light and sparkle to a dull bathroom with the Diamond Lite mirror with integral LEDs (£382). It measures 500mm x 700mm, uses 5mm beveled glass and the LEDs have a life expectancy of 60,000 hours. BC Designs (01206 827100;www.bcdesigns.co.uk)
3.  Old-fashioned or just plain boring accessories can make your bathroom look dated. Spruce things up with a Tori square towel holder (£19). Habitat (0844 499 1111; http://www.habitat.co.uk)
4.  Mix and match some plain and striped Egyptian cotton towels to add new colour and luxurious comfort to your bathroom. Try The White Company (0870 900 9555; http://www.thewhitecompany.com)
5.  There’s no hope of keeping the bathroom spruced up and neat if you haven’t got storage for all those toiletries. A rattan basket tower like a Seagrass four-drawer unit (£60) is just the ticket. John Lewis (0845 604 9049; http://www.johnlewis.com)
