Remove the dark bags underneath your eyes
You can benefit from fresh cucumber on your eyes

Dark circles beneath the eyes after a heavy night leave us feeling unattractive - But you do not have to leave the house in the morning feeling this way

Most of us know the unpleasant problems with dark circles beneath the eyes. Instead of looking fresh, healthy and recuperated they make us look tired, older and often depressed.

Nowadays there are cosmetic surgery options to remove these dark circles but going to this extreme length is not always necessary.

Here are some very helpful tips and tricks to help you avoid and treat the bags under your eyes, without going through a medical procedure:

• Cold and wet teabags are cheap but very effective. If you put them on your eyes for about 15 minutes they will help to boost your blood flow and decrease the puffy-eyed look. Furthermore, most tea sorts contain antioxidants that have a positive effect on your skin.

• On the top leaderboard there is also the good old cucumber. Sliced thinly or prepared with optional lemon juice it will refresh your eyes.

• Drink water! Probably this is the best advice. Drinking about eight glasses of water a day will clear your skin and have a positive effect on your skin-colour.

• Sleep tight! Of course not everyone needs eight hours of sleep per day but getting enough sleep will help your body to recover and refuel new energy.

• You will also benefit from daily fresh air. If you do not have time to exercise every day, take the chance to walk home after a long day in front of the computer. Even getting off the bus one stop earlier, will help to make you feel better and give your eyes the fresh air they are calling for.

• Last but not least, you could treat your self from time to time with almond oil on your eyes. Fifteen minutes should be enough; wash it off with cold water and then go to bed.

If you pay attention to these tips you should be able to get your dark circles under control.
