When you’re ready for more serious fat-burning post-pregnancy activities, David Kirsch, the celebrity trainer who put supermodel Heidi Klum back on track, has a couple of cardio sculpt suggestions involving your baby too:
Plié squats
Place your baby in a front-style harness.
Stand with your feet slightly wider than hip distance apart. Turn your toes out and your heels in. Bring your body weight back into your heels as you bend your knees and squat down whilst pushing your bottom out. Rise and repeat 15 times.
Platypus walks
With your baby in the harness, ‘sit’ into a squatting position with your knees aligned with your toes and your bottom sticking back as far as you can. Keep your core muscles tight as you walk forward, pushing off through each heel. Walk across the room in one direction, then reverse and walk backward.
Repeat 2-3 times.
