1. The heels and balls of your feet and the edges of your toes are very susceptible to hardened skin. To avoid a build-up use a pumice stone or foot file once a week.
2. Soak your feet in a bowl of warm water for 10-15 minutes.
3. Pat dry with a clean towel, then massage in a rich foot lotion and slip on a pair of cotton socks to let the cream soak in.
4. After moisturising, gently push the cuticles back with a cuticle stick. Cut your nails straight across to avoid ingrowns and use an emery board to softly round the edges.
5. Your toes are now perfectly prepped for a splash of colour. First, make sure you apply a protective basecoat to prevent discolouration, then apply polish in strokes down the centre of the nail and neatly stroke the sides.
