Travellers fear that they will lose out on their holiday

Holidaymakers refrain from using smaller travel companies for fear of them collapsing
Research, carried out by YouGov, has found that when it comes to travel, big really is better for consumers.
Despite the smaller companies often offering much cheaper holiday packages, many travellers are choosing bigger well-known companies such as Thomas Cook, Thompson and Ryanair so as to safeguard their holiday.
These results are not surprising as thirteen small travel companies have seized this year alone.
Kiss Flights, which announced its closure earlier this month, is thought to have affected up to 70,000 people.
However, all companies, big and small, have reported that this season has been tough. After the recent recession, many people have less disposable income so are not booking as many holidays as they would have done previously. Even large travel operators, such as Thomas Cook, have seen sales at a low.
