Boiling water could leave your home at risk

The condensation that is caused by boiling a kettle, for example, can create the perfect breeding ground for moulds that are capable of destroying your health
Boiling a kettle, taking a shower and putting the washing on appear like simple household activities. However, the mould that can be caused by doing these tasks can cause one of the most common fungal respiratory disorders in Britain today, Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis (often called ABA).
A common misconception is that only old housing is a risk from this type of mould but Johnathan, a London based property expert, says that this isn’t true.
He said, ‘If you boil a kettle, cook, use water in the kitchen and bathroom, and if you turn the heating up when it’s cold outside while keeping your windows and doors closed, then you and your home could be at risk right now’.
He added, ‘Many infestations may either be hidden, and in the process of developing without any obvious signs or odours.’
Jonathan has since devised a simple, cheap and effective way to save your property from fungi and moulds. His ‘moisture traps’ and ‘moisture absorbers’ consist of highly absorbent crystals in a special water collecting container to help stop the mould from breeding.
