KFC is replacing its ‘Finger Lickin’ Good’ slogan to ‘So Good’ in an attempt to give the restaurant a healthier image
The original slogan has been with the food provider for over 50 years and is well associated with the chain.
However the restaurant has been making amendments to its menu and image so that it appeals to the healthier consumer.
Martin Shuker, managing director for KFC in UK and Ireland, said, ‘We are excited to be launching So Good because it’s much more than just a new slogan. It’s about becoming better at everything we do, including our great tasting food, the work we do with our people, and the way we operate in the local community.”
Other changes include the launch of a Brazer, KFC’s first non-griddled product, to the menu.
From September, the menu will also feature the calorie count of each product. This move is part of KFC’s aim to be transparent and provide customers with all the information.
As consumers are increasingly aware of the food they eat, many other high street chains are also making the move to a healthier menu.
The slogan change is expected to appear in the UK over the next few months.
