Milk advert banned over misleading health claim
Hipp Organic's claims were missleading

An advert for baby milk that claimed that the product helps a child’s brain development has been banned

The Hipp Organic follow-on milk magazine advert claimed that the Omega 3 fatty acids within the milk aids healthy brain and nervous system development.

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) ruled that the advert was misleading and ordered for it to be banned.

Hipp Organic have replied saying that the nutrients named are necessary for healthy mental development in toddlers.

The ASA said that the information submitted to them by Hipp Organic was not sufficiently robust to support the product’s claims so they concluded to remove the advert.
