Fears of growing older are on the rise
|
A Department of Health survey has revealed that 86 per cent of people say they are worried about getting older.
The survey showed that more than half of the respondents worry about losing their mind and their memory, and that the same number worry about illness or infirmity. Even more disturbing is that 8 per cent of people surveyed hoped they wouldn’t get to an age where they would have to be concerned about these things.
The Government is planning to create a National Care Service to make care for older people fairer, simpler and more affordable. However, these results clearly indicate that there are a number of people who would prefer to delay the ageing process and improve the length and quality of their lives.
It is well known that what happens inside your body will have an affect on external ageing. This includes your metabolism, your heart and arterial health, genetic inheritance, cell deterioration and the nervous system, as well as your diet, lifestyle and environment.
The Diagnostic Clinic in London’s New Cavendish Street has launched Regenerus, a comprehensive anti-ageing assessment and life enhancement programme for men and women of all ages to address the real causes of ageing as well as providing an individual healthy life plan.
