Awesome reds and golds can be seen in New Zealand's autumn
|
New Zealand’s autumn is fabulous. When the temperatures settle and the lush colours of the summer turn into warm, soft reds and golds, it’s the best time for tourists to discover the country
The Australasian country has a lot to offer. The wide landscape invite you on long walks through the beautiful of nature and picturesque views that it has to offer. The wineries invite you to stay and enjoy local delicacies, but also the thousands of sport events attract tourists and encourage locals and tourists alike, to get active.
But there is one other reason that tourists are drawn to New Zealand, for its cultural events.
One of them is the Auckland Arts Festival 2011, which takes place from 2nd to 20th March. With a huge variety of shows, such as theatre and dance performances, concerts and visual arts, this event is really worth visiting. For more information on this festival, visit http://www.aucklandfestival.co.nz
Also a great and outstanding event is the CJ Pask Winery Great Long Lunch. Sitting at a 250 meter long table with about 800 people makes this three-course meal a highlight in everyone’s calendar. Tickets include of course some wine and are available at http://www.hawkesbaynz.com.
Another idea how to spend some days in New Zealand, could be getting inspired at the 42 Below Cocktail World Cup 2011. From March 14, the world’s best bartenders will fight four days for the famous title. But it’s not only about viewing the cocktail artists; of course there is a lot of music and party as well.
Joining one of New Zealand’s festivals is after all a adventure itself, due to the fact that they are usually set outdoors, under the beautiful autumn skies of New Zealand.
