Many tickets are over subscribed

People who have applied for tickets to the London 2012 Olympic Games are being reminded that payments will start to be withdrawn from their accounts
An estimated 20m applications were made for the 6.6m tickets that were available during the six week process, which came to an end on April 26.
Due to the high demand not every application will be deemed successful but those who have been should expect the money to be deducted from their account over the next few weeks.
In some cases, people will have the money taken from their account before they have been notified which event application they have been successful in.
Some of the events, such as the opening and closing ceremony, were heavily over subscribed.
A London 2012 spokesman said, ‘People should make sure that they have sufficient funds available from this date.’
Refunds will not be available but London 2012 will launch an official resale platform where people can sell their tickets at face value.
