Shopping online is still as popular as ever.

It may be the best way to beat the crowds on a Saturday afternoon, but many online shoppers are still cautious about entering their credit card details online
A poll, carried out by eWise, an online banking payments company, found that although 95 per cent of Brits have made purchases online, 88 per cent of those admitted that they have either been the victim of online crime already or that they are worried that this is something that will happen to them in the future.
Over half of those questioned, went on to say that they had previously abandoned an online purchase in the last year due to fears relating to the security of their banking details.
John France, managing director at eWise, admits that shoppers are right to be careful with their personal details. He explained, ‘In spite of the time and money invested in protecting consumer’s online security, retailers’ websites are still being hacked and fraudsters continue to win the battle.’
Never the less, shopping online is as popular as ever. Whether it’s the weekly food shop or just searching of the latest catwalk trends, 70 per cent of Brits purchase items online at least once a month.
