Rise in eco-friendly beauty product sales
More people are buying eco-friendly make-up brands

More consumers are choosing Fairtrade beauty products over other brands, reports a new survey

Market researcher, companiesandmarkets.com, reported that environmentally friendly products, in the cosmetics industry, have seen a surge in sales as more people are starting to consider the welfare of the planet.

Zara Rabinowicz, a beauty expert, said, ‘Consumers enjoy using natural products so many are happy to go green if it works.’

However, Organic Monitor, a specialist research company, is still critical of the cosmetics industry. In their own study, they found that Fairtrade beauty companies are still not doing enough when it comes to reducing their packaging.

They revealed that many companies have been too slow in incorporating sustainable packaging.
