Surge in women requesting a fuller figure
A breast augmentation is part of the BLB package

The hourglass shape is making a comeback, with more and more women flocking to cosmetic surgeons to achieve their dream, fuller figure

The UK’s largest cosmetic surgery group, Transform, has reported an increase in women requesting a combination of procedures to give them a full hourglass figure, made famous by 1950’s siren Marilyn Monroe.

The BLB (breast augmentation, liposuction and buttock implants) – or ‘The Monroe’, as surgeons are calling it – costing £13,000 is proving popular with women who have naturally boyish figures or who have lost a lot of weight.

The cosmetic surgery firm also reports a handful of new mothers asking for the combination procedure, to help lift and tighten droopy breasts and saggy bottoms, giving them a confidence boost post-birth.

Inspired by the likes of curvy beauties Kelly Brook, Dita von Teese and Beyonce, it appears women are no longer aspiring to the size-zero likes of Victoria Beckham and Cheryl Cole, and instead, are turning to cosmetic surgeons to give them a helping hand in feeling feminine.

Although the most popular areas for liposuction are typically hips, thighs and lower back, Transform has revealed that women can actually achieve their dream figure by using it on their waists to give them a sexy silhouette.

Shami Thomas, spokesperson for Transform comments, ‘It seems that we may finally be moving on from the size-zero craze that has, worryingly, swept the nation over recent years. Instead, women are not only embracing their curves, but they’re turning to us to help them achieve the feminine figure they either never had or have recently lost due to weight-loss.’
