Winston Churchill was a night owl

Almost half of Brits have admitted that they are able to perform to their best ability in the morning, compared to at any other time of day
Recent research, carried out by YouGov, has shown that 43 per cent of British people are at their best in the morning, shortly after getting up.
On the other end of the spectrum, just over a quarter of those polled feel best in the evening or during the night. Only 20 per cent admitted that they reach their top form during the afternoon.
The study found that the number of those who do their best during the morning increases with the age. It was mostly younger people, between the ages of 18 and 24 years, who claimed that they reached their peak during the night.
Nevertheless, a comparison between morning larks and night owls found that both were on the same level when it comes to solving tasks directly after getting up. But, when confronted with the task ten hours after waking up, the nighthawks impressed as they were found to have a quicker reaction time and be more alert.
There are also some well-known celebrity night owls, such as Charles Darwin and Winston Churchill. Churchill was renowned for regularly staying up till 4am and then waking up late the next morning.
