More than half of men said they are influenced by celebrities having cosmetic surgery

Men going under the knife has risen by 82 per cent in the past year
A study by has revealed that there has been an 82 per cent increase in the number of men having cosmetic surgery since January 2009. The study, by www.thegoodsurgeonguide.co.uk also revealed 64 per cent of the 3,015 men questioned said they could potentially follow the lead set by celebrities such as Gordon Ramsay and Louis Walsh, who have had cosmetic surgery this year.
The most popular areas for men having a procedure are London, Cardiff and Swindon, with 21 per cent of men admitting they had Botox or dermal fillers to smooth out the skin on their face. In areas such as Glasgow, Manchester and Dublin just 1 in 20 have had a cosmetic procedure, with 87 per of residents in Dublin saying believing surgery is not a “manly thing” to do
