Want flawless skin? Find out the top feel good foods
Eating the right foods will help you to get blemsh-free, flawless skin

Make sure you’re eating the right foods to be beautiful on the inside and out.

1. LINSEEDS – are packed with essential fatty acids to maintain good mental health, skin health and good digestion. Also fantastic for balancing hormones, and keeping joints, immunity and brain function healthy.

2. PUMPKIN, SUNFLOWER AND SESAME SEEDS - are immune boosting, cholesterol lowering, hormone balancing and have anti-inflammatory benefits. Prepare a seed mix to snack on every day or to add to your morning porridge.

3. ALMONDS – are a fantastic feel good food for skin. They are rich in vitamin E, good for the heart, and magnesium, important for endorphins and receptor sites for serotonin (a ‘feel good’ brain chemical). They are a good source of fibre, are cholesterol lowering and help soothe digestive problems.

4. MILLET – is very easy to digest and a great source of natural protein. It is very high in magnesium to balance hormones and is a good food to eat when feeling premenstrual. It is also rich in B vitamins – great for hair and skin.

5. OATS – are very calming. Many herbalists use oats as a natural sedative to calm the nervous system. They are also cholesterol lowering and help to keep blood sugar levels stable and reduce food cravings. Eat a portion of jumbo oats in the morning with some dried fruit and seeds for a nutritious breakfast.

6. CINNAMON – is a great herb for balancing blood sugar levels throughout the day, just sprinkle it on your other food.

7. LEMONS – are high in potassium and very cleansing, they help to stimulate the body’s ability to stimulate bile release.

8. BERRIES – are packed with health giving vitamins and minerals and other phytonutrients such as disease fighting antioxidants, flavonoids and anthocyanins. These help to neutralise harmful free radicals and toxins, excellent for maintaining healthy skin.

9. APRICOTS – are rich in dietary fibre and are an excellent source of vitamins A, B and C. They are rich in substances called carotenoids, including beta-carotene and lycopene. These have a powerful antioxidant effect to protect cells from ageing.

10. GARLIC – is a natural antibiotic to boost the immune system and ward off infection. It also helps to control yeast in the body, very useful if you suffer from candida.
