It is not uncommon for people to work overtime

Finally a reason not to stay an extra hour in the office, health experts have found that working long hours can raise your risk of having a heart attack
Look back and think about how many times you have called up your family to say that you will be staying late in the office?
Rising demands in the workplace has resulted in employees often finding that they have to stay behind later than usual.
Now health experts, at the University College of London, have found that working more than 11 hours a day could increase your risk of having a heart attack by 67 per cent.
Professor Mike Kivimäki, lead researcher, said, ‘This should be a wake-up call for people who overwork themselves, especially if they already have other risk factors.’
Although more research still needs to be done on the topic, the experts have suggested that GPs should start talking to their patients about the dangers of longer working hours.
