High heels can leave feet sore and aching after a night of partying

Patients are requesting ‘foot fillers’ to avoid the pain of high heels this Christmas
As women all over the country prepare for the Christmas party season, The Harley Medical Group have reported a 14 per cent growth for the most popular non-surgical treatments. Whilst Botox remains the most popular treatment at 73 per cent, more unusual requests are coming in for ‘foot fillers’. Patients are keen to use the fillers to plump up the ball in the soles of the feet to provide some party padding to ease the pain of high heels.
However, patients are being warned that ‘foot fillers’ don’t last long, Dr Nick Milojevic, a specialist non-surgical doctor at The Harley Medical Group says, ‘We have received increased enquiries for foot fillers, a technique of using fillers to pad out the ball of the foot to reduce the pain caused by more vertiginous heels. We do say to patients that the results are not long lasting because of the impact on this area of the body so that they should think twice before spending the money’.
If you struggle with high heel pain, a less drastic (and far cheaper) way to reduce the pain is Scholl Party Feet Ultra Slim Gel Cushions, £4.88, available from Boots, or slip a pair of flats in your bag.
