The project, completed by professional chef students at Westminster Kingsway College, saw a 12th-floor hotel room at The Cavendish London covered in almost 100kg of luxurious Callebaut chocolate.
The students have carved everything from slippers to a vase of flowers out of edible chocolate.
Neil Braude, hotel manager at The Cavendish London, says, ‘What could be more fun than waking up feeling a bit peckish and being able to munch your way through the “do not disturb” sign? Or taking a nibble out of the flowers.’
He added, ‘Easter’s not Easter without chocolate and we wanted to create an eggstra special treat for chocolate lovers.’
Simon Woods, chef lecturer at Westminster Kingsway College, adds, ‘With chocolate slippers, a life-sized painting and a giant Easter sculpture, to name only a few of the items, guest will have pick of the room to unwrap and eat before they check out.’
Two lucky guests have been invited to stay the night in the chocolate filled hotel room, with the opportunity to eat their way out at the end of their stay.
