Caffeine eye lotions popular among shoppers

The First Aid Beauty Detox Eye Roller has proven to be an instant hit with shoppers after it appeared on the Tyra Banks show

Boots reported that the product sold out on their website within two hours of it appearing on the U.S. TV programme. And now it has a waiting list of over 4,000 people.

The roller balls, which contain caffeine, are said to “detox your eyes”, and have the ability to “hide crows’ feet, dark circles and puffy bags.”

Skin care expert Alice Hart-Davis said: ‘The formulation contains caffeine, which has the effect of stimulating blood circulation.

‘What this will do is speed up the flow of blood in the micro-capillaries around the eye, which may make the skin in this area look a bit fresher and brighter.’
