Choosing the Right Stroller for You and Baby

Choosing a baby stroller isn’t as easy as it sounds – there are all sorts of designs, sizes and features to consider. The experts from BabyStyle give us some pointers

One very popular stroller among UK parents is the Oyster3, and this good-looking workhorse of a pushchair is brought to you by BabyStyle, a British brand that was born and bred over twenty years ago in Leicestershire.

Oyster3 is the result of years of design thinking and parent research and the team at BabyStyle have worked very hard to create a solution that offers the features you would come to expect from a luxury stroller along with a mid-range price tag.

This stroller is very quick and easy to learn to use and this is how it should be with all baby and toddler products as your hands (and brain!) are already full enough from dealing with all the other things you need to adjust to through your parenting journey.

With your lifestyle being one of the key considerations for which stroller you should choose, BabyStyle have adapted the Oyster3 to be suitable for as many situations as possible. It is a full-size stroller that offers maximum comfort for your child with a large seat unit that can be used from birth when fully reclined. The stroller also folds down very small, with the seat still attached, which is very useful for parents or carers who use public transport a lot or live in apartment buildings where space might be minimal.

The seat can also very quickly and easily be removed and refitted to face the adult, when child needs the comfort of a familiar person being nearby, or to allow them to see the world in front when they are eager to explore. The revolutionary 5-point harness and ultra-easy to use magnetic buckle keep your little one safe and sound and strapped in comfortably.

Features

BabyStyle’s mission when they approached the next step of the Oyster stroller’s evolution was to create a very different pushchair system to the preceding Oyster 2. The original Oyster DNA is present in this latest version, but everything was evaluated and so many features were enhanced and improved. The end result is a pushchair that ticks all of the important parenting boxes and also manages to turn heads by being so stylish. That is usually the type of product that will cost over £1,000 to own but BabyStyle have delivered that result for under £600 which is a genuine example of affordable luxury. With everything today becoming more and more expensive it is reassuring to know that you do not need to compromise on style, features and safety for your little one.

The value is also further stretched by the fact that this stroller is designed for growing kids and not just for baby. The Oyster3 is suitable from birth through toy our child being 22kg in weight and features a hood, harness and headrest that can be adjusted simultaneously to four height positions. This means that the space your child sits in will grow with him or her.

Other features such as the extendable UV 50+ canopy has a flip-out sun visor and ventilation net which help to promote airflow on warm days with a nice, cool breeze. A handy raincover is also included, at no extra cost, to keep your little one dry and protected on wet and windy days which we are so used to in the United Kingdom.

Oyster3 also features a large shopping basket, puncture-free tyres and all-round suspension for a smoother push so trips out on different types of surfaces, from shopping aisles to pebbled streets, are an absolute doddle to stroll on.

As well as offering everything you need for your baby from birth until over 3 years old, you do have the ability to take advantage of a great range of accessories and fabric and chassis colour choices which mean you can really make the stroller suit your own style.

If you prefer your baby to be lying down in a carrycot for the first six months then this is available as an accessory. If you have an older toddler already who like to tag along on journeys then a Ride-on-Board is available for them to stand on and ride with you.

Co-ordinated changing bags and footmuffs are also a popular part of the range and these accessories can be co-ordinated with your stroller colours to finish off the perfect look while ticking the necessary boxes for the practical products you need while out and about with a young family.

We think that Oyster3 is worth a very close look by any expectant parents and it is available to view in independent nursery stores all over the United Kingdom as well as in some larger national stores such as John Lewis.
