- What different types of cooker hoods are available from Luxair?
Luxair offer cooker hoods for any type of installation. Most people are familiar with the traditional wall mounted style hood that simply hangs above your hob.
However we offer many more styles such as canopy hoods which are fitted into a chimney breast for a classic farmhouse look, however, it could also easily be fitted into a piece of wall cabinetry as a clever disguise.
We also offer a wide range of ceiling extractors for a sleek and seamless look.
As well as downdraft hoods that rise from the work top, or downdraft induction hobs which is the latest innovation in kitchen design as It combines two key appliances in one.
At Luxair we also offer ceiling extractors with external motors, thus eliminating the noise of the extractor to the outside of your property creating a quiet, almost silent atmosphere in the kitchen area. Did you know Luxair also offer bathroom extraction? These small ceiling extractors can be installed in a bathroom or wet room of your choice and are IP45 rated, designed to fit between joists width of 150mm or more!
- How easy are they to fit?
All our extractors are easy to install and all installation instructions are provided on the product pages of our website before you buy, enabling you to discuss installation and pre plan any work needed with your fitter in advance. We are also available via telephone or email for any installation enquiries in which we have inhouse engineers on hand to answer any queries.
- What finishes and colours are available?
We offer many colour options with our models from the traditional stainless steel to black, white, anthracite, and ivory. We also offer matt, glass and gloss finishes.
- How powerful are they?
Luxair offer one of the most powerful ranges of extractors on the market, offering extraction rates of up to 1350m³/hr in some models.
- How much noise do they make?
The noise levels of your cooker hood can be somewhat intrusive at times when on an intensive or high speed setting. Stud walls will always sound noisier than if installed on an outside wall due to the hollowness of the wall itself, therefore vibration will make the unit sound noisier than normal to you. To reduce any noise, we always recommend to use larger ducting where possible. Many of our hoods now have brushless motors, these motors have many benefits over traditional brushed motors, primarily the energy ratings and noise pitch. Luxair offer a selection of ceiling extractors with external motors in three variations, all extracting with a huge 1200m³/hr motor. The use of an external motor on an outside wall or in the roof reduces noise levels in the kitchen, and all of our external motors are weather proof and IP65 Rated. - Do they include lighting?
Yes! All our cooker hoods have LED lights as standard and can either be used with or without the extractor turned on.
- Can they be recirculated?
Absolutely, most of our cooker hoods can be recirculated if ducting is not an option for you with use of a charcoal filter.
- What warranty do I get on Luxair cooker hoods?
We offer up to 7 years warranty with most models, some offering 5 years subject to registration, all warranties are FREE when registered!
- How do I get Luxair products serviced?
We have a simple easy access form you can complete on our website in which you can request a service engineer in or out of warranty. All service logs are responded to within 24 hours and passed to an engineer if the query cannot be delt with remotely!
