Bank Holiday Events for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

There will be year-long Platinum Jubilee celebrations throughout the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and around the world as communities come together to celebrate The Queen’s historic reign. 70 years on the throne, 70 years of service – no British monarch has ever celebrated a Platinum Jubilee before; on 6th February 2022 the Queen became the first.

There will be, as you may have expected, a range of events and initiatives to celebrate this most unexpected anniversary which will end with a hotly anticipated four-day Bank Holiday weekend in the UK from the 2nd through to the 5th of June.

Aside from moments of reflection upon the Queen’s years of service, those four days will include community activities and public events. Below are some of the key events planned for that heady June weekend (fingers crossed the weather holds).
