One of the perks of being a celebrity is that you will be offered loads of money to endorse a wide range of products. Often, it seems that the manufacturers don’t really understand the celebrity’s image or appeal, and particularly if they’re based in a different territory, the results can lead to the most bizarre celebrity endorsements.
With the news that Oscar-winning actor Brad Pitt has been announced as the new brand ambassador for Italian coffee machine manufacturer, De’Longhi, taking over from Hollywood colleague George Clooney, we thought we’d look at some of the more outlandish celebrity endorsements over the years. David Beckham / Fish Fingers
Back in 2008, David Beckham was known as one of England’s best footballers. He was also one of the main faces in campaigns from global corporations Pepsi and Adidas. But who would have thought he would also be the face of fish fingers? Well during the same year, the football star launched the GO3 range of healthy food at Wembley Stadium as well as being pictured on the package of GO3’s healthy fish fingers.
