What range of general health tests does Randox Health offer?
At Randox Health, we’re able to provide unrivalled insights into your full body health through our range of personalised health tests. We offer full body MOT’s, including our popular Everyman | Everywoman test which measures up to 150 data points linked to key health areas, as well as our Signature range, which can measure over 600 data points including genetic testing, cardiac conditions, and cancer risk. We also provide a range of specialised health tests for any areas of concern you may have, including Type 1 Diabetes risk, hormonal health, gut health, liver health, and much more.
Where are tests carried out?
Our tests are carried out in our state-of-the-art health clinics, with over 20 clinics located across the UK and Ireland. We also have a range of mobile health clinics and have recently opened clinics in 3 different John Lewis stores. If you are not able to travel to a clinic, we have a wide range of at-home test kits, which are convenient to take from the comfort of your own home.
How do I receive my results?
Your health test results will be available to you via a password protected portal, which you can access on your web browser or on the Randox Health app. A hard copy report will also be sent to your house.
How common are fertility problems?
Estimates suggest that 1 in 7 heterosexual couples in the UK are affected by infertility. Often the cause is unknown, with around ¼ of cases being defined as unexplained infertility. However, problems with the regulation of reproductive hormones can lead to ovulation disorders, which are a common cause of fertility problems in women. Testing for these hormones can help understand potential causes for fertility issues, such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and primary ovarian insufficiency.
What is involved in a Randox Health fertility test?
The Fertility Health package includes a range of tests designed to help better understand some of the key factors associated with female reproductive health. Fertility Health includes testing key hormones involved in regulating the menstrual cycle and reproductive function, as well as thyroid hormone levels, which can affect fertility. The package also includes Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) testing, which can help evaluate ovarian reserve. In addition, the package includes a full blood count as an indicator of general health and to identify signs of anaemia, as well as markers of nutritional status, such as iron, folic acid, vitamin B12 and vitamin D.
What conditions can Randox Health female health tests screen for?
Randox Health provides a range of health checks designed to target key aspects of female health. As well as identifying conditions that can impact on fertility, such as PCOS, thyroid disfunction and reduced ovarian reserve, our complete range of checks help support all aspects of health. Just some examples of the conditions Randox Health can help detect include iron deficiency anaemia, haemochromatosis, inflammation, diabetes and metabolic syndrome, heart disease, liver damage, inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, autoimmune disease, and many more.
Can Anti-Mullerian Hormone tell me how many eggs I have left?
Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) provides valuable information about ovarian reserve, but it cannot tell you how many viable eggs you have left or predict the likelihood of becoming pregnant. AMH is produced by developing ovarian follicles. As women age, the number of follicles decreases and AMH levels fall. A low AMH indicates diminished ovarian reserve, which means that fewer eggs are available. A higher AMH level indicates greater ovarian reserve; however high levels can also occur in women with PCOS. Measurement of AMH is particularly useful in women considering fertility treatment, as it can help identify women who may respond poorly (those with low AMH) and women who may respond excessively (those with high AMH) to ovarian stimulation.
