Bip, whos real name is Bipasha Ling, first came onto the scene with her blog, which she used to document her life. Before long she got noticed by the world of fashion and was even asked to sit in the front row at London Fashion Week.
Bip has always been known for her fashion sense, after all her mother, Tanya Ling, is a fashion illustrator and has worked with the likes of Christian Lacroix and Vogue magazine.
Here, Bip Ling’s Serpentine summer look has all the elements that are perfectly on trend for this season.
Vanessa Essack, artistic director at Paul Edmonds, says, ‘Big hair that has height and sits just behind the crown is very Louis Vuitton spring/summer.’
To create this look yourself, just follow Vanessa’s simple steps:
1. To recreate this look you need hairspray (L’Oreal Elnett is my favourite) and L’Oreal Professional crystal gloss spray and lots of pins and grips to keep in place.
2. To start, section off the top part of your hair from temple to temple so that the top of the hair is completely separate from the rest of the hair.
3. Backcomb the rest of the hair and pleat it at the back of the head, pleating the hair upwards. Leave some hair out of the pleat so that you can roll it back in to create volume at the crown.
4. Backcomb and spray the top of the hair brushing it so that the quiff is back heavy, then fold it backwards connecting into the pleat.
5. Remember to exaggerate all parts of this style – that is what really makes it stand out.
