For very sharp paint lines and less time spent on touch-up, decorators have a secret – FrogTape®. We stick to the facts
What is FrogTape®?
FrogTape® is a masking tape. But it is a masking tape with a difference. FrogTape® is the only painter’s masking tape treated with PaintBlock® Technology. PaintBlock® is a super-absorbent polymer which reacts with emulsion paint and instantly gels to form a micro-barrier that seals the edges of the tape, preventing paint bleed. The result: Very sharp paint lines and less time spent on touch-ups!

What different types are there and how do I choose the right one for my job?
FrogTape® is available in a multi surface (green) pack. Use this with emulsion paint on painted walls, wood trim, glass, and metal. FrogTape® Delicate Surface (yellow) is for use on more delicate areas, such as freshly painted surfaces, most coated wallpaper, and newly plastered walls. FrogTape® for Gloss & Satin (orange) is recommended when using gloss or satin paints.
How do I use apply and remove FrogTape®?
When using FrogTape® painter’s tape, there are a few easy tips you can follow to make sure you get sharp paint lines every time.
TO APPLY
Step 1
Clean your surface. Make sure it’s dust-free or dry.
Step 2
Apply your tape to the surface. For experienced painters, unroll the tape in one long section and keep the roll flat against the wall. For less experienced painters, apply the tape in shorter sections to avoid stretching the tape.
Step 3
Eliminate gaps and seal edges. Go over the edge of the tape with a firm plastic tool like a putty knife or plastic card.
TO REMOVE
Step 1
As with all masking tapes, it is recommended to remove the tape while the paint is still wet for the best results. Do not wait for the paint to dry.
Step 2
Pull the tape off slowly at a 45-degree angle. If you hear ripping noises, it means you’re going too fast.
What makes FrogTape® different from other comparable products?
All FrogTape® brand painter’s tapes are treated with patented PaintBlock® Technology, a super-absorbent polymer that reacts with the water in emulsion paint and instantly gels to form a micro-barrier that seals the edges of the tape, preventing paint bleed and the need for touch-ups. The results are crisp, clean paint lines the first time. The signature FrogTape® canister protects your tape edge not only against moisture, but nicks and dents that can ruin the tape edge during storage.

How does FrogTape® packaging contribute to its performance?
The signature FrogTape® canister protects your tape edge not only against moisture, but nicks and dents that can ruin the tape edge during storage. Any damage to the tape will not enable you to achieve a straight line. Both the FrogTape® canister and lid are fully recyclable or why not use the empty canister to store nails or screws?
