Kiss FM radio DJ and presenter Tyler West and five-time paralympic champion Ellie Simmonds are the latests celebrities to have announced their participation in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
West, who presents afternoon shows on radio station Kiss FM, has also presented shows on BBC Three, CBBC and MTV News. He broke the news on the radio stations’ breakfast show as well as releasing a statement saying he was “so gassed to be joining the Strictly family”.

The statement continued by saying: “It’s going to be one crazy incredible journey which will no doubt be so far outside my comfort zone.
“It’s a show that means so much to me and my family and I can’t wait to seriously shake a leg on that shiny dance floor… with a side of sequins.”
He will take part in this year’s show alongside Paralympic hero and broadcaster Ellie Simmonds who revealed that she would also be taking part.
In a statement released on Twitter this morning, the five-time Paralympic champion said: “I can’t believe I am writing this! I’m literally bursting with excitement! It’s been soooo hard keeping this secret as I’ve wanted to tell everyone…”
West and Simmons join actor Will Mellor, actress and presenter Kym Marsh, comedian Jayde Adams, presenter Kaye Adams and radio presenter Richie Anderson in the line-up for Strictly’s 20th series with more celebrities set to be announced in due course.
This year’s show is set to begin on 7th September.
