Game of Thrones star Jerome Flynn is raising funds for a marine wildlife charity by offering fans the chance to join him on a trip to Iceland.
Flynn, who plays mercenary Ser Bronn of the Blackwater in the hit HBO series Game of Thrones, has been a long-term supporter of Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC) charity.
The top prize of the sweepstakes will see the actor take a lucky winner—and a friend—on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to visit some of the show’s iconic filming locations in Iceland. This trip will include a private boat tour to one of the world’s best whale watching stations.
‘As a passionate campaigner for whale and dolphin protection, I’m thrilled to be able to help WDC and offer someone the chance to join me touring some of the Game of Thrones locations in this beautiful country, and also the opportunity to see Iceland’s extraordinary wildlife up close,’ Flynn said.
‘It has long been a dream of mine to go to Iceland and I was always secretly praying that Bronn would make it North of the Wall. Of course, that hasn’t happened (yet!) so this trip is very exciting for me, especially as I will have the chance to see the whales in such a spectacular natural environment,’ the Game of Thrones star added.
WDC is dedicated to the worldwide conservation and welfare of whales, dolphins and porpoises. As an organisation, their goals are to stop whaling and end captivity and bycatch—one of the biggest threats these creatures face.
To be in with a chance of winning this incredible prize, fans of the Game of Thrones star, Jerome Flynn, need to visit www.prizeo.com/campaigns/jerome-flynn/go-beyond-the-wall-in-iceland and make a donation to the charity. There are various other limited-edition prizes on offer too; people who choose to buy multiple entries can win signed photos, campaign t-shirts and two tickets to the taping of Sky Atlantic’s fan show, Thronecast.
