Take a Visit to the Real Locations of Line of Duty

In the opening episode of Season 5, corrupt police administrator Vihaan Malhotra is wrestled to the ground after trying to escape from an interview – the scene is shot in Upper Queen Street. There’s a clear shot of a Translink bus in the background which rather gives away the location.

Easily recognisable in this shot of DI Kate Fleming’s pursuit of corrupt ‘Dot’ Cottan from the end of Series Three is Royal Avenue, Belfast’s principal shopping street since it was founded in 1881. The Belfast Central Library which stands in for Police HQ is at one end of the avenue.
