Made in Chelsea star opens sweet shop

Supported by his fellow Made in Chelsea castmates, Jamie Laing opened the first ever Candy Kittens Shop on London’s King’s Road this week

It had been a long battle for Jamie Laing to gain access to his McVitie’s family fortune, which was necessary to fulfil his dream of opening his own sweet shop. All the more, it was a moment of pride for the ambitious TV star to open the first one of a number of Candy Kitten stores. Each of them will be opened for a limited time during the next 12 months all over the country.

For Jamie, the opening of his first store marked an important moment. Jamie said, ‘I want people to realise that I am serious about Candy Kittens and I want to make everyone proud’.

The launch attracted a large number of celebrity guests, among which the 10 finalists from Britain’s Next Top Model, apprentice star Tom Gearing and a number of the GB rowing gold medallists.

Attendees also included the Made in Chelsea cast, with Francis Boulle, Olly Proudlock, Spencer Matthews, Cheska Hull and Millie Mackintosh being present.

All of the visitors enjoyed being served by the Candy Kittens, 10 beautiful ladies, who Jamie had chosen to provide his guests with cocktails and cupcakes.

Jamie’s Candy Kitten pop-up store on King’s Road is open until the beginning of September and customers can purchase t-shirts, notebooks and cushions in Candy Kitten design and, of course, the Candy Kitten sweets!
