Pack the Marmite, we’re going on holiday

Even though self-catering holidays are hugely popular, we still prefer to eat out

According to a recent survey by Owners Direct, 75 per cent of Brits choose to eat out more than four times a week whilst on holiday.

While Brits are more inclined to eat out, budget is still a factor to be considered, with most people spending just £7 per meal. When people do decide to cook for themselves, nearly half of the people surveyed preferred to buy local produce, like market bought meat and fish.
At the same time 40 per cent of people like to stuff a few home comforts, such as tea bags and marmite, in their suitcases for safe measure.

When it comes to the foods that Brits are likely to try on holiday, it seems to be the children who are the most adventurous; although some adults admitted to having tried a few of the more exotic delicacies, like rattle snake, fish eyes and even guinea pig!
