4. MORBIUS (2022)
The third movie in Sony’s Spider-Man universe, this recent clunker starring starring Jared Leto as ‘living vampire’ Dr. Michael Morbius received largely negative reviews from critics, with criticism towards its writing, visual effects, and a frankly ludicrous post-credits scene. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 16% based on 268 reviews, with an average rating of 3.8/10. The website’s critics consensus reads, “Cursed with uninspired effects, rote performances, and a borderline nonsensical story, this dreary mess is a vein [sic] attempt to make Morbius happen.”
3. GREEN LANTERN (2011)
Widely derided as being noisy, overproduced, and thinly written, Green Lantern squanders an impressive budget and decades of comics mythology in the story of Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds), newest recruit to the Green Lantern Corps, sworn to preserve intergalactic order. The best that can be said for Green Lantern is that it has given Deadpool (also played by Ryan Reynolds) plenty of scope to send up his previous failed superhero outing.
