Who Are the Top 10 Celebrity Animal Lovers?

04. Stephen Fry

Actor, comedian, writer and activist Stephen Fry once offered to kiss the highest bidder of an auction for charity Elephant Family, causing the entire website to crash. More recently he narrated an animation called The Lonely Dodo for Durrell Wildlife Park to help raise awareness about endangered animals, and supported an animal sanctuary in Aberdeen, the animal welfare campaign Farms Not Factories, and Lancashire Wildlife Trust’s campaign 30 by 30, which aims to raise £30m to restore 30 per cent of land and sea for nature by 2030. Stephen Fry said: “In my lifetime we’ve seen a catastrophic decline in our wildlife. Species are in danger of disappearing altogether and we’ve taken nature for granted for too long. Something big needs to happen to change this. I relish bold action and The Wildlife Trusts’ 30 by 30 ambition is the most audacious and courageous I’ve seen in a very long time.”
